Terms of sale
NorthBurnGoods is a trading name of Superior Stock LLC, a Wisconsin LLC. These terms cover what you get when you order, and what happens if something goes wrong. They are written to be read rather than to be impressive.
Who you are buying from
Superior Stock LLC, Wisconsin, United States. Contact northburngoods@gmail.com. Orders are made and shipped by one person, which is why the shipping estimate is honest rather than optimistic.
Personalized orders
Every board is engraved to order with the text you supply. Two consequences worth stating plainly:
- You are responsible for the spelling. A confirmation showing exactly what will be engraved is sent before anything is burned. Read it. The engraving is permanent and a name burned incorrectly cannot be undone.
- It can be changed until it is made. Reply to the confirmation and the text can be corrected at no cost right up to the point the board goes on the laser.
Prices, tax and shipping
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout from your delivery address where it applies. Shipping is $8.00 for the first board and $4.00 for each additional board, sent as one parcel. We ship within the United States — for international orders use the Etsy shop, which handles customs properly.
Returns
Because each board carries a name that is useful to nobody else, personalized items are not returnable for a change of mind. That is the trade for a made-to-order product and it is normal across the category.
What is always put right: a board that arrives damaged, a defect in the wood or the finish, an engraving that does not match your confirmation, or an order that never arrives. In any of those cases it is remade or refunded. Tell us within 30 days of delivery, with a photograph where there is something to photograph. The shipping and returns page has the detail.
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. Card details are never sent to or stored on this site. Your card statement will show NORTHBURNGOODS.
Bulk and corporate orders
Runs of ten boards or more are quoted individually and confirmed in writing before anything is made, including a proof sheet showing every name as it will be engraved. Those quoted terms take precedence over this page where they differ. See bulk and corporate gifts.
Using this site
The photographs, guides and designs on this site belong to Superior Stock LLC. Read them, link to them, quote them with attribution. Do not republish them wholesale or use the designs to make competing products.
By placing an order you confirm that the text you supply is yours to use and is not somebody else's trademark.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
